HelixChute2 replaces the legacy program's USB dongle and network License Manager schemes with a single, simpler online activation system. There is no separate "Network Version" to install and no server software to run – every installed copy of HelixChute2 is the same program, and what it can do depends only on the licence activated on that device.
| Edition | Notes |
|---|---|
| Demo | Applies automatically when no licence has been activated on a device. Lets you explore the program, open the sample projects and evaluate the workflow. |
| Standard | Full DEM calculation and reporting features for day-to-day chute design work: one feed box, a total feed rate of up to 1,000 tph. |
| Professional | All Standard features, with up to 10 feed boxes and no feed rate limit, for production design use. |
Activation requires an internet connection. Once activated, HelixChute2 keeps working for a period offline (an "offline-grace" window) before it needs to re-validate with the licensing service – useful if you're working somewhere without reliable internet, but you should still connect periodically to keep the licence current.
Helix Technologies can issue a temporary trial licence (for example, 14 or 30 days) so a prospective customer can fully evaluate Standard or Professional features before purchasing. Contact sales@helixtech.com.au to request one. Activate a trial licence exactly the same way as a purchased one – enter the key in the Activate License... dialog. The dialog and status bar both indicate when the active licence is a trial, and its expiry date.
A licence can be active on one device at a time. To move it, open Help > Activate License... on the current device and press Release this device, then activate the same key on the new device.
To purchase a licence, upgrade from Standard to Professional, or convert a trial to a paid subscription, email sales@helixtech.com.au with your details and requirements. See Pricing for current edition prices and what the free trial includes.
