Playback Calculation Results

Once you've completed a recording (see Recording Calculation Results), you can play back the particle movement through the transfer.

  1. Press Playback... and choose a previously saved recording file to load.
  2. Press Playback... again (or the equivalent playback control) to watch the particles move through the chute, at the frames-per-second rate set in the DEM Inputs.
  3. Press Stop Playback at any time to halt it.

Recorded data is stored as a plain XML file, which you can open in a text editor if needed - but for analysing the data in a spreadsheet, see Exporting recorded data to Excel for a ready-made .xlsx export instead.

A recording file only makes sense alongside the project file it was recorded from – open the matching project first, then load the recording. See Project & Geometry Files.
